Description

I took this photo of a view of the ceiling and wall above the Grand Staircase from the season-ticket holders’ entrance at Palais Garnier, Paris’ most famous opera house. The hall was an immense marble and gold spectacle crowned by Isidore Pils’s paintings. I mirrored and reflected the image, overlaid it with antique sheet music, put in a pair of gold masks inspired by the Phantom of the Opera musical, then added the quote “Let the Music Set You Free” in glittery gold brushstroke lettering. For all music lovers, opera fans, songbirds or anyone who enjoys musicals and the performing arts.
